We value sustainable design, manual work, and the creation of decorative pieces that are laden with history, meaning, and art.

With the brand concept created in 2015 by the couple Stefanie Ting and Guilherme Boetger in New York, Massame Studio was inaugurated in December 2022, initially launching nine design products in the field of social sustainability based in Rio de Janeiro.

During the first four years of the brand, they immersed themselves in exhibitions, art fairs, and renowned courses abroad, which provided them with a unique and refined understanding of craftsmanship. This passion for manual ancestry motivated them to turn their attention back to Brazil and create unique pieces that value sustainability and the reuse of materials from local forests.

At every stage of the creation process, they seek to preserve the traditions passed down from generation to generation among communities of artisans. Thus, they have built the production chain of Massame Studio, and in the near future, they will add more collaborators to the brand's purpose, uniting culture and design in each created piece.

STEFANIE TING

Brazilian, born in Rio Grande do Sul with Chinese heritage and a carioca at heart. In 2004, she graduated in fashion from Parsons, and in 2005, she became the first Brazilian to transform "renda renascença" into luxury clothing for American and French designers.

She founded the company Brazil Love Lace, based in New York, with a focus on importing artisanal techniques such as "renda renascença" from the Northeast, hand weaving, and leather braiding from the Southeast of Brazil. She developed a portfolio of creations ranging from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection, clothing details for Comme des Garçons, a Clutch Bag for Diane von Fürstenberg, to an exclusive collection of over 600 pieces for Vera Wang's Prêt-à-Porter collection in the summer of 2000. These trends were appreciated in magazines and fashion stores in New York and around the world.

With the same focus on the beauty of handmade arts, she created the concept of her new brand, where the value of each artisanal detail is present in design pieces signed for Massame Studio, offering exclusivity and authenticity in support of the community and the preservation of ancient manual techniques.

GUILHERME BOETGER

Brazilian, carioca with German and Portuguese heritage, started his artistic journey as a model maker in partnership with the architectural firms Sergio Bernardes and Jacobsen Associados in the 1980s.

Being passionate about manual techniques, he founded his own woodworking shop in 1985. Years later, he rediscovered the Kumiko technique (Japanese woodworking) in a renowned course in New York, and in 2015, he played a fundamental role in the creation of Massame Studio.

Thanks to his precise manual skills and knowledge of materials ranging from wood to brass and electrical components, he brings a fresh perspective to each design product, redefining and transforming craftsmanship into pieces of quality, finish, and originality.
